Oscar Víquez is first a family man and an English language educator, translator, and interpreter with over two decades of experience spanning the full educational spectrum—from early childhood through higher education. He has served as a mentor teacher at CCCC and has led diverse English language programs across several institutions in Costa Rica, including Universidad Politécnica Internacional and Universidad Fidélitas.
Currently, Mr. Víquez is the General Director of English Programs at Universidad Latina de Costa Rica, where he oversees curriculum development, academic leadership, and program innovation for general, bilingual, and major-specific English tracks. His professional background combines expertise in English language instruction with advanced proficiency in translation and interpretation.
Oscar is known for his leadership in teacher development, program coordination, and cross-institutional collaboration, bringing a deep commitment to quality, equity, and student-centered learning to every aspect of his work.
