Pablo Torres is an English language educator and curriculum developer with over 15 years of experience in academic and corporate settings. He currently works as a Curriculum Developer and English Instructor at the Centro Cultural Costarricense Norteamericano (CCCN), and as a Business English professor at ULACIT, helping students develop workplace-ready communication skills. He holds a Master’s in Educational Technologies from Universidad Internacional de La Rioja (Spain) and a Bachelor’s in English from Universidad de Costa Rica. In the field of educational innovation, Pablo leverages artificial intelligence to enhance curriculum design and classroom instruction. He has contributed to initiatives at CCCN integrating AI into placement testing, item analysis, and chatbot-based student interactions, significantly improving learner engagement and assessment accuracy. His work in generative AI and adaptive testing reflects a forward-thinking approach to language education.
Pablo also specializes in English for Specific Purposes (ESP), having designed and delivered tailored instruction for professionals in engineering, healthcare, insurance, telecommunications, and public services. His clients include Bayer, Motiva, CFIA, Starbucks, Colegio de Enfermeras de Costa Rica, Bomberos de Costa Rica and the Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad.
